Job Summary

Cranfield Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in shaping our communications strategy and implementing plans to raise awareness and drive engagement for our charity.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling content, news releases, thought pieces, and features to promote our brand and services. You will work closely with our Regional Managers and charity partners to identify and capitalize on PR opportunities, and develop and implement effective communications plans to support our charity's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise awareness and drive engagement for Cranfield Trust
  • Create high-quality content, including news releases, thought pieces, and features, to promote our brand and services
  • Work closely with our Regional Managers and charity partners to identify and capitalize on PR opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, and charity partners
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular reports to the Head of Communications
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues on communications-related matters

Requirements

  • Proven experience in communications and public relations, preferably in a charity or non-profit setting
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong relationships-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
