About the Role

Cranfield Trust is seeking an experienced Senior PR and Communications Officer to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in shaping our PR and media strategy to raise brand awareness and establish Cranfield Trust as a thought leader in the third sector.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive PR and media plan to increase our profile and position the Trust as a thought leader in the sector
  • Create engaging content, including news releases, editorial copy, and case studies, to promote Cranfield Trust, our supported charities, and our volunteers
  • Review data and generate insights to create regular reports, thought pieces, and content for our website and social media channels
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Team to develop and deliver fundraising campaigns to increase income and support donor and supporter communications
  • Monitor and evaluate PR and communications activity, identifying opportunities to widen reach and drive success

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of communication and PR practices and techniques, with a good understanding of what makes a story newsworthy
  • Experience of using customer relationship management databases, media monitoring, and evaluation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content from complex research and data
  • Able to develop and deliver creative campaigns to inform, influence, and raise awareness, with a working knowledge of systems to support delivery, including Adobe Creative Cloud and social media scheduling tools
