Job Details

Chiltern Hills Academy is seeking a skilled and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the quality of initial instruction and provide support to individuals, small groups, and entire classes as necessary.
  • Deliver educational activities to students under an established supervision framework, making adjustments based on student reactions and requirements.
  • Aid in students' learning process to ensure they achieve at least the expected level of progress.
  • Support teachers in classrooms where students' literacy skills pose a hindrance to their advancement.
  • Customize existing literacy or numeracy teaching materials to suit the specific needs of individual students or student groups.
  • Demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm, energy, resilience, and perseverance.
  • Embody the values and principles of Chiltern Hills Academy.
