Job Description

Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyer - Part Time


Jameson Legal is seeking an experienced Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will be well-suited to experienced Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyers or Immigration Lawyers looking to transition into a Knowledge Development Lawyer role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Legal Training: Coordinate, design, and prepare internal and client legal training sessions.
  • Manage Knowledge Assets: Collect, draft, maintain, and update key precedents and client guides.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor legal developments and emerging areas of law, providing horizon scanning updates to the Immigration team and clients.
  • Knowledge Management: Manage the Immigration team's knowledge pages on the firm's intranet.
  • Best Practice Implementation: Work with Partners and Risk and Compliance teams to implement and embed best practice and risk management practices across the team.
  • Support Fee Earners: Respond to legal queries from fee earners.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified lawyers with upwards of 5 years' PQE specialising in Immigration (both private and corporate immigration matters).
  • Experience: Experience gained within notable international or City law firms.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills, prior experience working as an Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyer, or be an Immigration Lawyer looking to transition into a Knowledge Development Lawyer role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work proactively, possess strong organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.


Working Arrangements:

Jameson Legal operates a hybrid working policy. It is likely that successful candidates will be anticipated to spend 2 days per week in the office.
