Position Overview:

BH Live is seeking a dedicated Bar and Café Manager to oversee our hospitality services at BH Live Active Littledown, a premier leisure facility in the region. This role is pivotal in managing our diverse hospitality areas, which encompass a bar, café, and an outdoor dining venue known as The Lookout.

The Lookout Bar offers a unique outdoor experience, featuring live music and a vibrant dining atmosphere. It is designed with colorful beach hut booths and lush greenery, providing a picturesque setting for our guests. Open daily, The Lookout serves food and beverages, making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors.

As the Bar and Café Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing our hospitality offerings, driving business growth, and implementing innovative ideas to elevate our retail catering services. Your leadership will ensure that our guests enjoy exceptional experiences throughout the leisure centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a hospitality team, managing the daily operations of all food and beverage areas within the centre.
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels and oversee recruitment, training, and retention of team members to maintain high food safety and service standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and licensing laws, ensuring compliance across all operations.
  • Manage budgets effectively, maintaining inventory control and ensuring efficient stock management.
  • Uphold the company’s values and standards in all aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality sector, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Possession of a personal license for alcohol sales and a Level 3 food safety qualification.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to propose and implement fresh ideas to enhance our hospitality and events offerings.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the centre's operational schedule.
