Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Project Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Services team, you will play a critical role in accelerating the energy transition by developing, owning, and operating energy infrastructure that delivers clean, reliable, economic energy for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Development: Coordinate all aspects of project development, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines, budgets, scope, and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, contractors, and community groups, to foster positive relationships and address concerns around proposed developments.
- Project Budgeting: Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to maximize profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and liabilities.
- Procurement and Construction: Work with Procurement and Construction Manager to ensure adherence with equipment and construction services procurement strategies and support the negotiation and award of contracts.
- Project Execution: Coordinate activities across multiple departments, such as engineering, construction, and legal, to ensure successful project execution.
- Reporting and Documentation: Deliver regular progress reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders to support project execution and decision making.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in development/project roles at power generation or renewable energy companies, with good knowledge of the component parts of energy projects.
- Ability to lead projects and demonstrate strong project management skills.
- Solid background in effectively managing budgets, resources, and projects.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excels at managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Cultivated a strong network of energy professionals whose expertise can be leveraged to benefit our energy projects.
