About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Southampton. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex mental health needs to live their best life.

About the Person We Support

The person we support is a 21-year-old female with complex learning difficulties and mental health needs. She is looking to live in her own home in Southampton and will require a high level of support and understanding as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to the person we support, enabling them to live independently and make informed choices about their life.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the person we support, built on trust, respect, and empathy.
  • Work collaboratively with the person we support, their family, and other professionals to ensure their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the person's support plan, ensuring it is tailored to their unique needs and goals.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being among colleagues and the person we support.
Requirements
  • Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Strong experience in mental health support, with a focus on complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the person we support.
