Location: Northern Ireland

IDPP is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Field IT Support Engineer with experience in 1st and 2nd Line support to assist our clients. This role involves providing hands-on technical assistance to end users, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems and software. You will engage directly with users, offering not only technical solutions but also training on Windows 11 and various applications.

This position is field-based, necessitating travel between various sites. A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Assistance: Deliver 1st and 2nd Line support, addressing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Device Configuration: Aid in the setup of Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal on both iOS and Android devices.
  • Equipment Distribution: Personally hand over new devices to end users, ensuring all equipment is operational and correctly configured.
  • Software Setup: Confirm that Office applications (Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) are logged in and synced across all devices.
  • Application Installation: Manage the deployment of applications via the Company Portal on Windows 11 devices, ensuring successful installation and performance.
  • User Education: Provide training to end users on navigating and utilizing Windows 11 (version 23H2), enhancing their productivity.
  • Documentation: Distribute FAQ materials and guide users on how to reach the IT helpdesk for additional support.
  • Record Management: Keep current records of equipment handover checklists and related documentation.

Requirements:

  • Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Demonstrated experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT support capacity.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal setup on mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Windows 11 (version 23H2) and Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and assist end users effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Compensation: £250 per day inside IR35

Location: Northern Ireland

Travel Required: Sites in County Armagh, County Tyrone, County Antrim
