Regional Sales Manager

Zachary Daniels is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Manager to cover the Midlands area, including the M6 and M1 corridor. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in the construction or building materials sector to join a well-established company with strong growth prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Proactively seek new business opportunities within the roofing and construction sectors, focusing on roofing merchants, building merchants, and house builders.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow existing relationships with key clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets by promoting and selling the company's slate and plank roofing solutions.
  • Regional Coverage: Manage the Midlands territory, focusing on the M6 and M1 corridors, ensuring maximum market penetration and brand presence.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to adapt and refine sales strategies.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's product range and offer expert advice to customers on the most suitable roofing solutions for their needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and client activity for senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the building materials, construction, or roofing industries. Experience selling to roofing merchants, building merchants, or house builders is essential.
  • Proven Sales Record: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive, B2B environment.
  • Client-Focused: Strong account management skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Geographic Expertise: A solid understanding of the Midlands region, including the M6 and M1 corridors, and a willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider sales team.
  • Full Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
