Occupational Therapy Rotation Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our rotational scheme in the Chichester/Bognor area. This rotational program offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and competencies beyond graduate level through a partnership between Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working Age Acute Mental Health: Provide assessment and intervention services in an acute inpatient setting, developing skills in patient assessment and treatment planning.
- In-patient Mental Health Rehabilitation: Work alongside individuals who have experienced psychosis to support recovery and community participation, promoting holistic rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
- Community Therapy Team: Deliver rehabilitation services in patients' homes, preventing hospitalization and promoting independence.
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Services: Facilitate intensive rehabilitation on the wards, supporting individuals in their recovery and return to their homes.

Requirements:
Qualifications
- Professional Qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience
- Relevant experience as a student Occupational Therapist
- Experience using assessment tools and techniques
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Promote patient choice and independence in care
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate application of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy
