Job Title: Senior Mobile Testing Specialist

Job Summary: Salt is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our mobile testing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobile Harness Management:
    • Configure and maintain Mobile Harness hosts for mobile testing purposes.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Mobile Harness host environments to ensure optimal performance.
    • Resolve any issues related to Mobile Harness hosts.
  • Device Management:
    • Manage a pool of Android devices for testing purposes.
    • Configure devices with necessary software and required configurations.
    • Maintain an inventory of devices and track their health and performance.
  • Android Testing:
    • Execute test cases on Android devices, either manually or through automation tools.
    • Report, track, and manage defects and issues found during testing.
    • Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve identified defects.
  • Lab Maintenance:
    • Maintain an organized and efficient lab environment.
    • Ensure the proper upkeep and functioning of lab equipment.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the lab infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Android operating systems and mobile device hardware.
  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
  • Understanding of network configurations and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Mobile Harness or similar mobile testing platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience working in cloud-based testing environments.
