Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Emergency Department team. This role is essential in driving forward our advanced clinical practice initiatives and enhancing the quality of patient care. You will work alongside a dedicated team of medical and operational leaders, including Senior ACPs and a Lead ACP, to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will operate independently as a qualified Senior ACP within the Emergency Patient Pathway. Your clinical expertise will be vital in:

  • Conducting thorough assessments, examinations, diagnoses, and treatments within an established scope of practice.
  • Facilitating safe patient management, including treatment, referral, and discharge processes.
  • Supporting and mentoring trainee clinicians, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the reputation of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust for advanced practice.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Health Care Professional status.
  • A full MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • Non-medical prescribing qualifications.
  • A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience as an ACP.

Desirable qualifications include teaching and assessing qualifications, as well as evidence of completed research projects.
