About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Head of Partnerships and Business Development, leading our Apprenticeship Sales function and driving business growth through strategic partnerships and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategy: Work with our strategy team to create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and facilitate growth.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate your direct reports, providing ongoing training and development to enhance their performance and drive results.
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to develop sales forecasts and marketing plans.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions and exceed expectations.
  • Product Knowledge and Promotion: Stay updated on product features, benefits, and competitive advantage, ensuring your team can convey these effectively and through the creation of partnerships, look at ways our products can stand out in the sectors we work in.
  • Sales Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Commission Reports: Work with the finance and operations teams to produce, monitor, and approve monthly commission reports across the sales department.
Requirements
  • Understanding of the FE and Training Sector: An understanding of the Further Education and training sector, particularly the apprenticeship model.
  • Sales Team Management Experience: Sales team management experience within the apprenticeship sector.
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record of individual high performance within a sales function and in the management of a high-performing team.
  • Knowledge of Organisational Effectiveness: Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Excellent IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Highly Organised: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
