About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Auditor to join our Group Compliance Operations team at SSE PLC. As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business units comply with regulatory and legal obligations, as well as internal procedural and policy requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out compliance audits to assess the activities of our business units and corporate support functions, identifying areas of non-compliance and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate review findings to key stakeholders, including senior managers, in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with business units to develop and implement corrective actions to address findings.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of relevant regulation and legislation, and assist business units in identifying key compliance risks.
- Contribute to the development of Group Compliance Operations processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Current Audit Professional qualification, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance.
- Sound knowledge and experience of regulatory rules governing energy and/or financial markets.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to manage time and workload efficiently.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
