Job Description

**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Distinct Consultancy. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest possible standards of food safety, quality, and legality in our fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather information and assist in writing quality contracts that detail specifications for our products and packaging.
  • Manage the quality filing system and trackers to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Efficiently obtain sufficient data from trials to support Senior Process and Process Technologists, including weights, measurements, and photographs.
  • Assist in preparing for trials, including collecting raw materials and packaging, weighing recipes, and collecting samples for customer testing.
  • Input data into various Excel databases to ensure data is available and up-to-date.
  • Photograph products as necessary and manage/update files of existing images.
  • Assist in proofreading and checking various documentation.
  • Diarise and prompt deadlines to ensure information is available on time to prepare product contracts.

Requirements:

  • Good PC skills, including email, word, and Excel.
  • High standard of written English and grammar.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence and ability to interact with people at all levels of the business.
  • Accuracy and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work to a consistent high standard.
  • Ability to engage and work as part of a cross-functional team, demonstrating excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills, with the ability to self-manage and work on multiple projects.
  • Demonstratable experience in working under pressure.
  • Ability to work alone in support of others and manage their own workload.

Working Environment:

We are a fast-paced production environment where you will be working in a safety-conscious manner and promoting behavioral safety by your actions. You will be required to record and communicate hazards, risks, and near misses.
