**About the Role**

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our research team as a Scientific Associate/Senior Scientific Associate. As part of our School of Clinical Medicine, our research focuses on advancing our understanding of cancer biology, translating research findings into clinical applications, and developing innovative treatments.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist the group leader in managing the laboratory and providing technical guidance to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and other laboratory members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, including molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, protein purification, and biochemistry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Develop and maintain laboratory protocols, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide training and support to junior laboratory members.

**Requirements**

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in laboratory research, including molecular cloning, protein purification, and biochemistry.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in laboratory equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
