Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

Join JLR as a Measurement Systems Engineer within our Testing and Validation division. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our Engineering Laboratories team, which operates within the Engineering Operations sector.

Your expertise will be vital in the preparation and evaluation of prototype vehicles, primarily within the UK, while also utilizing European testing facilities.

You will be at the forefront of the meticulous application of sensor technologies, understanding their impact on products and experiments, along with the ability to validate and interpret real-time data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute significantly to our team by preparing vehicles for measurement, calibrating sensors, conducting tests, and analyzing data.
  • Engage in the setup of vehicles equipped with sensors and measurement devices that assess acceleration, load, displacement, pressure, and temperature.
  • In addition to vehicle setup, you will assist in data collection on public roads and testing facilities, both domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Work on various aspects of automotive engineering, from initial prototypes to full-scale production.
  • Analyze and validate the collected data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Specify and select sensors for the measurement of real-time vehicle parameters.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in executing real-time measurements using instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Certification and Testing in accordance with corporate or universal standards.
  • Experience in performing traceable calibrations.
  • Proficient in processing and analyzing data with precision.
  • A valid full Driving License is required.
