About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planners in delivering high-quality financial planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planner Support: Provide administrative support to our financial planners in preparing and administering recommendations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Client Needs Review: Collaborate with financial planners to review client information, fact finds, meeting notes, and existing records to gain a comprehensive understanding of client profiles, needs, and objectives.
  • Research and Documentation: Conduct thorough research and gather supporting documentation and application paperwork for advice, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Financial Planning: Work closely with financial planners to construct high-quality financial plans for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure client files contain all required documentation to demonstrate compliance and suitability of advice.
  • Cashflow Modelling: Prepare lifetime cashflow modelling to develop clients' holistic financial plans.
  • Client Queries: Handle client queries as required.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with financial planners and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Meeting Preparation: Assist financial planners in preparing for meetings by completing valuation packs and performing other necessary tasks.
  • Meeting Attendance: Attend meetings alongside financial planners to provide support in advising clients and preparing meeting notes when required.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and promote a positive working environment and culture.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in navigating and utilising financial planning software and tools, with the ability to report on common platform providers.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Professional Qualifications: Qualified to level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, with a good understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience: Proven experience in paraplanning of at least two years, with a good product and solutions knowledge from across the market.
