The ideal candidate will possess extensive QC experience, ideally from a chemical or broader FMCG background. This role involves overseeing a dedicated team of four technicians, both full-time and part-time, while reporting directly to the Head of R&D.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt a hands-on approach to establish and implement optimal quality practices, particularly in a manufacturing context.
  • Act as the primary contact for addressing quality concerns related to Fluid and Raw Materials.
  • Engage in new business initiatives and projects, assessing and communicating the implications for Quality activities within the QC laboratory.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new customers.
  • Maintain audit readiness within your designated area of responsibility.
  • Conduct testing of components and products to meet established standards.
  • Perform audits in accordance with GMP standards.
  • Monitor the quality of finished goods during production and take action on identified failures.
  • Support manufacturing and material trials.
  • Lead and inspire technicians to excel in their respective roles.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years of laboratory experience within a high-volume FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience in a quality/QC role.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with a confident and professional demeanor.
  • A solid educational background, preferably a degree or diploma in a scientific field.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Experience in supplier interactions.
