Compliance Officer

Elevate your career with ELS Recruitment Ltd as we seek a skilled Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our contractor solutions and services.

Responsibilities
  • Onboard new sub-contractors efficiently, ensuring timely registration and compliance with our set procedures.
  • Coordinate the distribution of registration packs and chase missing documents to maintain a seamless process.
  • Conduct thorough checks on Right to Work documents, BRP, and ECS, guaranteeing compliance with HMRC and CIS legislation.
  • Collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure a smooth transition from worker registration to payment.
Compliance and Due Diligence
  • Monitor and distribute post inbox items to the team, ensuring timely action and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with HMRC and CIS legislation, expanding your knowledge to drive compliance excellence.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, including Settled Status, VAT, and UTR checks, to maintain due diligence standards.
  • Verify client documents and system setup to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Proactive and ambitious individual with an eye for detail and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Reliable transportation or local commuting capability due to office location.
