We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Monitoring Officer to join our team at Canada Life Limited. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our compliance controls and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform independent compliance assessments and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of our compliance controls and risk management processes.
- Identify and report on compliance risks and issues, and provide recommendations for remediation and improvement.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure compliance practices, processes, and policies are followed, and that mitigating controls are well-designed and operating effectively.
- Lead and deliver a broad range of second-line of defense compliance assessment reviews across our multi-jurisdiction regulated businesses.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly those related to the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulatory Authority, and Information Commissioners Office.
- Detailed working knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly those related to the FCA, Data Protection Operational Resilience, Supplier Risk Management, and Financial Crime/Anti Money Laundering rules and guidance.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, making complex issues simple in oral communication and/or report writing.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to apply project management methods and disciplines to manage the on-time delivery of a portfolio of compliance assessments.
- Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and balance with business needs to make informed decisions.
