Estimator - Project Tender Specialist

Job Summary:

Intersect Global Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in East Sussex. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tender packages for existing and new clients within the water and marine sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret project briefs and develop pricing schedules that capture all required scope.
  • Conduct research to determine the cost of materials, transportation, labor, and equipment.
  • Visit sites with suppliers and contractors to obtain quotes and assess their feasibility.
  • Liaise with the project controls team to create a tender program that ensures adequate project preliminaries are applied.
  • Assess risk levels associated with projects and ensure adequate risk is applied to price and program.
  • Prepare and present tender quotations internally for review and approval.
  • Prepare and present tender quotations to clients.
  • Assist with bids for new contracts and frameworks.
  • Support the project delivery team and buyers as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support senior managers within the business.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to make decisions and demonstrate accountability and integrity.
  • Ability to be an active and participating team member, able to transfer skills to others in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and strategize in order to meet the long-term vision of the company.
  • Problem-solver and target-driven individual.
  • Ability to deliver required results while working in a high-pressure environment.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
