Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customer sites for breakdowns, servicing, and maintenance of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Evaluate and resolve electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as PLC controlled machinery.
  • Install and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide training on machine operation to customers and end users.
  • Prepare and submit service reports and time sheets to the Service Manager for evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer with mobile experience.
  • Single and 3 phase electrical experience is essential.
  • Experience working in heavy/industrial environments is required.
  • Direct experience in the waste/recycling industry is an advantage.
  • A full UK driving license is necessary.
  • Flexibility with hours is required, as overtime will be necessary.
  • Average 10 hours a week overtime at £24 per hour, plus a basic salary of £33,000, results in average earnings of £45,480 per year.
  • Weekends may be required, with a call-out fee of £60 and 1.5 hourly rate for the first 4 hours on Saturday, followed by double time and double time on Sunday.
  • 28 days of holiday, including bank holidays, plus 1 additional day for every year of service up to 5 years.
  • A standard pension scheme is in place.
