Job Summary:
Burton Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their dynamic and forward-thinking Group Finance Department. As an Assistant Financial Manager, you will play a key role in producing and analyzing the performance of one of the group businesses, providing support to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial Support: Serve as a point of contact and provide day-to-day finance support to the business, embracing and implementing process improvements for the finances of this entity.
- HMRC Compliance: Support the Group Financial Controller and other members of the Finance team with HMRC returns, external audit, banking and treasury management, board reports, and other financial tasks.
- Financial Planning: Assist with credit control, including review of aged debt and cash flow reporting, and support payroll with processing, controls, and transactions.
- Purchase Ledger: Process and manage purchase ledger invoices and payments as support for the accounts payable team.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: AAT qualified or part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA, with a commitment to becoming professionally qualified (study assistance will be provided).
- Experience: Experience within a similar finance position, preferably in a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
