We are a leading IT Recruitment Agency collaborating with a distinguished Global Consultancy seeking a Business Continuity Planner to support one of our esteemed clients.
Role Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Business Continuity Planner & Resilience Advisor include:
1. Providing expert advice and guidance to enhance enterprise resilience and business continuity in alignment with HMG standards and best practices.
2. Offering continuous support to the incident response team for operations outside of regulated sites, ensuring business priorities are met during incidents and risks.
3. Assisting in the development and upkeep of business continuity plans, business impact assessments, disaster recovery strategies, and related documentation through collaboration with key stakeholders.
4. Advising functional teams on business continuity risks affecting information, facilities, reputation, and other critical assets.
5. Facilitating resilience exercises to validate and strengthen business continuity measures while enhancing knowledge across the organization.
6. Supporting incident response teams in applying lessons learned from exercises to bolster resilience planning and ensure continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in developing a Business Continuity program in accordance with ISO22301 or a resilience program aligned with ISO22316 within a corporate or highly regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to identify key stakeholders and build effective relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in conducting business continuity and resilience inspections, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise resilience and business continuity best practices.
- Familiarity with standards and frameworks related to Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management.
- Insight into the implications of enterprise resilience and business continuity within critical national infrastructure organizations.
- Experience in project management techniques to effectively deliver business continuity programs in high-profile projects.
- Proficient in drafting procedures, reports, and providing guidance to staff at all levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
- Knowledge of Security Assessment Principles for the Civil Nuclear Industry and their application in resilience and business continuity.
- Experience in developing and delivering resilience/business continuity training and exercises.
- Understanding of cyber resilience standards within the supply chain.
- Membership in a professional institute or industry body.
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Continuity Management or Enterprise Resilience.
