Are you a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team at Poplar Farm School as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

About the Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with communication and interaction delays, as well as those with social and emotional health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will be required to provide enhanced support for children with these needs, using their skills and experience to deliver Speech and Language support and visual communication aids.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of being a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience of working with children with communication and interaction delays
  • Experience of working with children with SEMH needs
  • Experience of delivering Speech and Language support and using visual communication aids
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum to support the academic progress of the children
  • Be a committed individual who can foster, monitor and develop the abilities, social skills and understanding of children
  • Be a good team player with positive interpersonal skills
