Cost Management Specialist

Turner & Townsend is currently seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join their award-winning Cost Management team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a part of Turner & Townsend's Real Estate division, you will have the opportunity to work on long-term secured frameworks with national and regional organizations in sectors such as Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Education, Healthcare, and Defence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with feasibility studies and procurement reports to ensure accurate cost planning and budgeting.
- Estimate and plan costs, including presenting the final cost plan to stakeholders, to ensure project viability and profitability.
- Manage tendering and procurement processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Handle post-contract cost variances and change control to minimize financial risks and ensure project delivery.
- Perform cost checks and valuations on projects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports to provide stakeholders with up-to-date financial information.
- Participate in value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Negotiate final accounts with clients and consultants to ensure fair and transparent settlements.
- Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead a cost management team when necessary to ensure project delivery and team performance.
**Requirements:**
- Technical expertise in cost management and contracting, including experience with industry-standard software and tools.
- Experience as a Commission Manager or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Understanding of procurement methods and value engineering, including experience with cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Professionally qualified with a degree or similar qualification in a relevant field, such as construction management or cost engineering.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with strong organizational and time management skills.
