GRIGGS Homes is excited to announce the expansion of our Quantity Surveying team, seeking a talented Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a prestigious luxury residential initiative.

Objective of the Role

Oversee risk management and cost control to guarantee timely project delivery in accordance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and evaluate tender submissions and contractual documents.
  • Engage in negotiations for ongoing contracts with vendors and clients.
  • Manage and report on supplier agreements and conditions.
  • Ensure proper governance on contract approvals and execution to facilitate successful deal closures.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports on project costs periodically.
  • Collaborate with all teams regarding preconstruction feasibility and viability assessments.
  • Delegate tasks to subcontractors effectively.
  • Monitor project costs to maintain budget compliance.
  • Coordinate payments as stipulated throughout the project lifecycle and upon completion.
  • Assess all completed work and manage payment arrangements accordingly.
  • Offer guidance on any contractual claims that may arise.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong managerial and motivational skills.
  • Proven track record in residential development projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and build productive networks.
  • Experience in reporting to senior management and presenting complex data in an understandable format.
  • High level of computer proficiency, particularly in Excel.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
