Position Overview:
Are you a seasoned Cost Control Specialist looking for a rewarding role within the nuclear sector?
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the meticulous management of cost data to support significant nuclear construction initiatives. Your expertise in Cost Management software, particularly EcoSys, will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information.
Project Involvement:
You will play a pivotal role in the Cost Discipline of Project Controls, working closely under the guidance of the Cost Lead and the Project Controls Manager. Your contributions will be vital to the success of various projects, including new power station developments and advancements in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technologies.
Cost Management Duties:
As a Cost Control Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining precise cost data and reports, including forecasts and performance analyses.
- Supporting the development and implementation of Integrated Project Controls processes.
- Producing insightful monthly reports that provide valuable information and analysis.
- Coaching and mentoring team members within the Cost Discipline.
- Collaborating with other project support functions to achieve project objectives.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of all cost data within the financial control system.
- Overseeing the review and integration of cost estimates and forecasts from contractors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Proven experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment, particularly in a cost-focused role on major construction projects, is essential. Familiarity with cost management software and risk management tools will be advantageous.
