Job Description:

Driver Hire Uxbridge is currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to work with our customers in the UB postcode area. This is a temporary, ad-hoc position with variable shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles for delivery and collection purposes
  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points
  • Valid CPC and TACHO
  • Manual driving licence
  • Over 25 years old for insurance purposes
  • At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
  • Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
Working Conditions:
  • Variable shifts, mainly during the week (Monday to Friday), with occasional weekends
  • May involve A to B drops, multi-drop deliveries, and other types of shifts
Pay and Benefits:
  • Pay between £17.00 and £19.00 per hour (PAYE), including holiday pay
  • Overtime paid after 9 hours (breaks not included)
  • Auto-enrolment pension after 3 months
