At our healthcare facility, we operate two wards within our Inpatient Unit, providing care for adults with a variety of health conditions. We are in search of dedicated Therapeutic Support Specialists who will engage with both therapy and nursing teams, contributing their expertise and skills to enhance patient care.

We seek enthusiastic individuals, whether experienced or new to the field, who possess a warm demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. The Therapeutic Support Specialist will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist and/or Physiotherapist. This may involve exercise regimens, daily living skills training, assessing equipment needs, and conducting home visits as necessary.

This role entails an 8-week rotation, requiring full-time commitment within a 6-day workweek, Monday through Saturday with the Therapy team, followed by full-time shift work with the Nursing team, including early, late, and night shifts throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rotate to the nursing team as a Healthcare Assistant on an 8-week basis, adapting flexibly between roles as needed.
  • Assist with patients' daily requirements, including dietary, hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support therapists in delivering patient treatments.
  • Manage a personal caseload of patients, executing pre-established treatment plans.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma in healthcare level 3 or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
