Sanctions Advisory Analyst

Location: London Victoria Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Department: Financial Crime Compliance Sanctions

The Sanctions Advisory Analyst will report directly to the Group Head of Sanctions and will be tasked with overseeing the second line of defense for Sanctions Compliance within Ebury, one of the fastest-growing FinTech firms globally. This position is crucial in upholding the company's sanctions compliance framework, ensuring it aligns with UN, EU, UK, and US sanctions, as well as our banking partners. This role is integral to the company's future growth strategy, providing candidates with an opportunity to significantly impact Ebury's ambitions and meet challenging strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist the Group Head of Sanctions in sustaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework.
● Evaluate escalations related to sanctions exposure from the front office.
● Collaborate with the first and second lines of defense in reviewing clients and transactions that may pose sanctions risks.
● Contribute to the delivery of Sanctions Management Information to enhance transparency regarding sanctions risk across the organization.
● Support the Group Head of Sanctions on relevant projects that require consideration of sanctions risk across the first or second lines.
● Aid the Group Head of Sanctions in conducting internal investigations concerning actual or potential sanctions violations.
● Assist with internal and external reporting obligations arising from actual or potential sanctions breaches.
● Work closely with Financial Crime operations on sanctions-related initiatives and projects, including name screening, payment screening, and KYC processes.
