Position: Sanctions Advisory Analyst

Location: London Victoria Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote work

Department: Financial Crime Compliance - Sanctions

The Sanctions Advisory Analyst will report directly to the Group Head of Sanctions and will oversee the second line of defense for Sanctions Compliance within Ebury, one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies globally. This role is pivotal in upholding the organization's sanctions compliance framework, ensuring it aligns with UN, EU, UK, and US sanctions, as well as our banking partners. This position is integral to the company's strategic growth plans, providing candidates with the opportunity to significantly influence Ebury's ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist the Group Head of Sanctions in sustaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework.
● Evaluate escalations concerning sanctions exposure from the front office.
● Aid the first and second lines of defense in reviewing clients and transactions with potential or actual sanctions exposure.
● Contribute to the provision of Sanctions Management Information (MI) to enhance transparency regarding sanctions risk across the organization.
● Collaborate with the Group Head of Sanctions on relevant projects across the first or second lines where sanctions risk considerations are necessary.
● Support the Group Head of Sanctions in internal investigations related to actual or potential sanctions violations.
● Assist the Group Head of Sanctions with internal and external reporting obligations arising from actual or potential sanctions violations.
● Work closely with Financial Crime operations on sanctions-related matters and projects, including name screening, payment screening, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
