Respiratory Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Specialist Nurse to join our Primary Care team in the London Region. This is a brand new role that offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload in a unique setting.
About the RoleAs a Respiratory Specialist Nurse, you will be working across all sites in the London region, including HMP Belmarsh, HMP Thameside, Heathrow IRC, HMP Pentonville, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, and HMP Brixton. You will have the possibility to work from home one day a week.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a specialist practitioner in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, including COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Bronchiectasis.
- Conduct specialist respiratory holistic assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide health promotion advice and support to patients with respiratory disease.
- Offer health promotion advice and support to patients with respiratory disease, including smoking cessation where appropriate.
- Conduct Annual Long Term Condition (Respiratory) reviews in line with Health in Justice 7A indicators and service specification.

Requirements- Current NMC registration as 1st Level Registered Nurse or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and its application.
- Assessor/supervisor/ENB 998 or equivalent training.
- Degree/diploma or on pathway/equivalent.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
