Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team at 24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of day-old chicks and maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, animal welfare, health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the welfare of day-old chicks and maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, animal welfare, health, and safety.
  • Gain a full understanding of poultry at Annyalla Chicks.
  • Undertake various tasks within the hatchery, including chick take-off, transfer, egg loading, and unloading.
  • Perform general cleaning and tidiness of all areas inside and outside the hatchery to ensure a high level of biosecurity.
  • Adhere to all codes of practice and bird welfare.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
  • Undertake other duties within the hatchery operation as required.

Requirements:

  • Flexible and hardworking.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude to teamwork.
  • Ability to work shifts (start times can vary).
  • Previous production/factory experience is desirable.
  • All training is provided.
  • Someone with good hand dexterity to handle day-old chicks.
