Gleeson Recruitment Group is proud to be working exclusively with a growing Private Equity-Backed Business based in Birmingham on their search for an FP&A Manager. Our client is a fantastic business in an exciting industry backed by a leading private equity firm. **Position Overview:**

The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in all financial planning and analysis, providing strategic insights and support to drive the business forward. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The FP&A Manager will report directly to the CFO and work closely with senior management and the private equity firm to support key decision-making processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making and investment analysis.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis to senior management and the private equity firm.
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive profitability and growth.
  • Partner with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of board presentations and investor materials.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.

**Qualifications:**

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a private equity-backed environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software/tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
