About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Inspector to join our team at Capita. As a Gas Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of gas safety across North West London and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations and equipment to identify any potential safety risks or non-compliance issues.
- Report and document findings in a clear and concise manner, providing recommendations for improvement where necessary.
- Work closely with registered businesses to ensure any defects or non-compliance issues are addressed promptly and to the required standard.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a high level of technical knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of the following ACS certificates of competence: CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1.
- Have experience working with a variety of gas appliances and/or quality controlling of gas work.
- Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety, Building Regulations, and other related codes and normative documents.
- Be able to risk assess environments and identify potential safety hazards.
- Have a relevant Auditor qualification (D32/A1) or equivalent.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
