About the Role:
As a Gas Inspector with Capita, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of gas installations across North West London and surrounding areas. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect, report, and provide feedback on gas safety standards delivered by registered businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Complete inspection reports in a timely and accurate manner, highlighting any defects or areas for improvement.
- Liaise with registered businesses to address any issues identified during inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including gas consumers and industry professionals, to promote gas safety awareness and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure your expertise remains current and relevant.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of the following ACS certificates of competence: CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1.
- Have experience working with a variety of gas appliances and/or quality controlling gas work.
- Understand Health & Safety, Building Regulations, and other related codes and normative documents.
- Be able to risk assess environments and identify potential hazards.
- Have a relevant auditor qualification (D32/A1) or equivalent.
- Regularly maintain technical knowledge and industry awareness through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
