About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Imaging Department at Circle Health Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, ensuring a consistent and high-quality ultrasound service to all patients.
  • Carry out diagnostic ultrasound scans within your scope of competence, adhering to high technical and quality standards.
  • Manage your designated working area, ensuring it is tidy, clean, and efficiently run.
  • Use initiative to prioritize, deliver, and time-manage your workload effectively.
  • Assist clinical modality leads in planning and maintaining an effective workflow within the department.
  • Ensure that sonography examination results meet the clinic standard for quality assurance before findings are released for interpretation.
  • Function as a technical or clinical leader/expert in sonography.
  • Accountable for the creation, oversight, and implementation of scanning protocols and quality control activities.
  • Provide technical, image quality, and accuracy oversight for the assessment of sonography examinations.
  • Ensure that appropriate accreditation is secured and maintained.
  • Carry out quality assurance protocols and quality improvement measures.
  • Pursue and maintain cutting-edge technical and clinical updates.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and other members of the external healthcare providers.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of sonography services within the clinic.
  • Expertise in Gynaecology ultrasound is essential.

Requirements:

  • Current HCPC Registration.
  • Minimum 2 years Ultrasound experience within the NHS.
  • Experience in performing/reporting the following sonographic examinations: Abdominal, Renal, Gynaecology, (Transvaginal, Transabdominal).
  • Experience in Gynae required.
