Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.
- Develop and implement care pathways and treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide expert opinions on patients' mental health and cognitive functioning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
- Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post.
- Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
- Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a Forensic and/or Learning Disability Service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other clinical teams and stakeholders.
