We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Service. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.
- Develop and implement care pathways and treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of care.
- Participate in service development and expansion, including the development of new care pathways and services.
- Contribute to the development of clinical governance and risk management strategies.
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
- To hold Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post.
- Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
- Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other clinical teams and stakeholders.
