Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing suppliers' invoices, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating timely payments to creditors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Authorizing invoices and reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing efficiently with supplier enquiries and resolving issues
  • Shared responsibility for filing documents within purchase ledgers
  • Processing invoices, registering supplier invoices via Continia, and matching invoices to valid purchase orders and goods received notes
  • Resolving price queries with buyers and receipt and proof of delivery issues with site managers
  • Assisting with raising weekly payment runs and monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Resolving debit balances on vendor accounts and dealing efficiently with supplier enquiries
  • Shared responsibility for clearing down inboxes and filing documents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and share responsibilities
