Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to become a vital part of our JAG Accredited Endoscopy Unit. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of outstanding pre, peri, and post-procedure care for both in-patients and out-patients. Our unit operates six days a week, providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our Endoscopy team, you will receive extensive support and training to enhance your expertise in gastroenterology, including the anatomy and physiology relevant to the human body. You will be involved in performing a variety of procedures such as gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.

Your daily activities will include working closely with Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Nurse Endoscopists, and Bowel Screening Wales practitioners. We provide a range of training courses, from foundational skills to advanced techniques, ensuring all staff follow a standardized competency pathway with designated mentors.

This position presents a unique opportunity to develop your skills in management, bowel screening, and specialized endoscopy practices, paving the way for future career advancements in nursing.

Proficiency in Welsh is desirable for this role; however, we welcome applications from both English and Welsh speakers.
