About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Hounslow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CBT and experience working with children and adolescents in a CAMHS setting.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in a relevant mental health profession, such as nursing, social work, or clinical psychology, and registration with the relevant UK governing body. They will also have post-registration training in CAMHS and be fully accredited with the BABCP.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on and directly providing comprehensive assessment, risk management, and interventions for children and young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. They will also offer one-to-one and group interventions, clinical supervision to team members, and work with school staff and parents/carers to develop school environments that support better emotional health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and work therapeutically with children, adolescents, and their families in a range of settings
  • Develop and deliver whole school approaches to mental health support
  • Work with young people with complex needs, including those who have experienced abuse or neglect
  • Provide clinical supervision and reflective practice to team members
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents/carers to develop strategies to promote emotional wellbeing
Requirements
  • Qualification in a relevant mental health profession and registration with the relevant UK governing body
  • Post-registration training in CAMHS and BABCP accreditation
  • Experience working in a CAMHS setting and with children and adolescents
  • Strong background in CBT and experience working with evidence-based approaches
  • Ability to work with complex cases and develop risk management plans
