Insurance Claims Coordinator

Connells Group is seeking a skilled Insurance Claims Coordinator to join their Rent & Legal Insurance team in Leighton Buzzard. As an Insurance Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing rental insurance claims on behalf of our Landlords, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely resolution of claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with third-party insurers and solicitors to initiate and manage ongoing claims.
  • Communicate claims updates to customers and collaborate with them to reach informed decisions on necessary course of action.
  • Handle incoming queries via phone and email from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Load and check new policies, ensuring premium charges are raised correctly.
  • Ensure all claim payments are correctly identified and allocated to customers.
  • Prepare fortnightly policy listings.
  • Maximise collection of unpaid rent arrears and policy premiums through communication with debtors via telephone, email, and SMS.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required by line manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with confidence to deal with challenging queries via telephone calls and email.
  • Strong systems experience, with a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Background in working with insurance and/or customer service is an advantage, but not necessary. Training will be provided on the job.
