Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at ExtraCare Charitable Trust. As a Facilities Management Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake preventive maintenance duties in resident apartments and communal areas.
  • Manage void properties, ensuring water quality checks and general repairs are completed.
  • Collaborate with contractors to improve knowledge of systems and ensure they work within risk assessments.
  • Record repair requests and defects.
  • Attend site on a rota basis for emergency situations outside normal working hours.
  • Provide a handy-person service for residents, including tasks such as picture hanging and assembling flat pack furniture.

Requirements:

  • Experience in facilities maintenance in a multi-dwelling building.
  • Flexibility to support the scheme during emergency situations and outside normal working hours.
  • Responsibility for the repairs and maintenance service with your team onsite.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to maintain a system for logging maintenance requests.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong communication skills, including empathy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to health and safety, with COSHH or IOSHH desirable.
