Facilities Management Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Management Assistant to join our team at Pannel Croft Village in Birmingham. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake preventive maintenance duties in resident apartments and communal areas.
  • Manage void properties, ensuring water quality checks and general repairs are completed.
  • Work with contractors to improve knowledge of systems and ensure compliance with risk assessments.
  • Record repair requests and defects.
  • Attend site on a rota basis for emergency situations outside of normal working hours.
  • Provide handyman services for residents, including tasks such as picture hanging and assembling flat pack furniture.
Person Specification:
  • Experience in facilities management in a multi-dwelling building.
  • Flexibility to support the scheme during emergency situations and outside of normal working hours.
  • Ability to take responsibility for repairs and maintenance services with the team onsite.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to maintain a system for logging maintenance requests.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong communication skills, including empathy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to health and safety, with COSHH or IOSHH desirable.
