About the Role:

You can expect to get involved in a variety of projects in the cloud (AWS & Azure).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data solutions using cloud data services such as Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, Databricks, Bicep & PowerBI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, efficient data applications systems, services, and platforms.
  • Develop Kimball/Star-Schema Data Warehousing solutions and data visualizations using tools like PowerBI or AWS Quicksight.
  • Implement coding best practices and design patterns, and experience with code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality and optimization, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation, and alerting.
  • Use CI/CD tooling to analyze, build, test, and deploy code.
  • Make design choices for data storage and data processing, with a focus on cloud data services.
  • Use parallel computing to process large datasets and optimize computationally intensive tasks.
  • Programmatically deploy, schedule, and monitor components in a workflow.
  • Write complex queries against relational and non-relational data stores.

  • You're an engineer at heart, with a passion for building scalable and efficient data applications.
  • You have experience building data solutions using cloud data services.
  • You have a good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns.
  • You have experience with CI/CD tooling and cloud data services.
  • You have a good understanding of design choices for data storage and data processing.
  • You have experience with parallel computing and data visualization.
  • You have experience with programmatically deploying, scheduling, and monitoring components in a workflow.
  • You have experience with writing complex queries against relational and non-relational data stores.
