Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet, providing expert input to our adult mental health services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with colleagues to deliver an evidence-based SLT service, promoting functional communication systems and optimal independence for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, advise, and intervene with clients to promote effective communication and independence
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide training and support to colleagues to promote good practice and maintain a total communication environment
- Participate in visual discharge planning and adopt a humanistic approach to care
- Experience in mental health and/or inpatient services
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred approaches
- Strong team player with a focus on interdisciplinary working
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexibly and remain calm under pressure
- A fixed caseload with full support from an onsite multidisciplinary team
- Excellent Clinical Supervision, CPD, and developmental opportunities
