About the Role

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Bank Dementia Team as a Healthcare Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to patients living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care to patients with dementia, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the Admiral Nurse-led Dementia Team to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in dementia care.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or social care setting, with a minimum of 12 months' experience in dementia care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, dependability, and motivation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development to meet the needs of patients and the organization.
